Privacy Policy
Last updated: 17 June 2026
Your documents are sensitive, and your trust is the product. This policy explains what data Miguido collects, why, how we protect it, and the rights you have over it.
1. Who we are
Miguido ("we", "us") is operated by [Company Legal Entity], registered in [jurisdiction] at [registered address]. For privacy questions, contact our data protection contact at privacy@miguido.com.
2. Data we collect
- Account data: email address, authentication identifiers, and language preference.
- Documents you scan or upload: the files and the structured data extracted from them (deadlines, fees, document types, expiry dates).
- Journey data: your selected country, profile answers, tasks, and progress.
- Usage data: feature interactions and diagnostics needed to operate and improve the service.
3. How we use your data
- To extract deadlines and required actions from your documents and generate reminders.
- To provide your personalised journey roadmap and the Ask Migui AI guide.
- To assess potential benefits and entitlements you may be eligible for.
- To operate, secure, and improve the service, and to provide support.
4. AI processing & consent
Document analysis and Ask Migui use an AI model to extract and explain information. This processing happens only with your explicit, withdrawable consent. If you withdraw consent, document scanning is disabled. Miguido provides informational guidance only and does not provide legal advice.
5. Document retention & private mode
Raw uploaded files are deleted automatically after analysis when private mode is enabled, and on a scheduled retention basis otherwise. You can delete your documents and your account at any time.
6. Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with processors necessary to run the service (e.g. cloud hosting, AI processing) under appropriate data-processing terms, and with immigration consultants only when you explicitly connect with one.
7. Your rights (GDPR)
Subject to applicable law, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and you may object to certain processing or withdraw consent at any time. To exercise these rights, contact privacy@miguido.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
8. Security
Documents are processed securely and access is restricted. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we apply industry-standard safeguards.
9. Changes
We may update this policy and will notify you of material changes. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
